Product description

PA1501A tube amplifier is the first tube amplifier launched in the APPJ workshop in 2015. It is an upgraded product of PA0901A.

PA1501A uses imported 6AD10 brand new stock electronic tubes. There are many brands of 6AD10 on the market that can be directly replaced, such as Grants Bradford, Amperex, RCA, Sylvania, Westinghouse, GE, Philco, ITT, Chief, Tung-Sol, CBS, Admiral, Standard , Arcturus, Raytheon, Zalytron, Aladdin, Zenith, Motorola, IEC, Amperex, Mullard, etc.

6AD10 is a late-stage thing in the history of electronic tube development. It is an indirectly heated cathode double pentode-pentode composite tube with excellent performance. We use low-power pentodes for voltage amplification, high-power pentodes for power amplification, and transformer coupling to transmit power.

The performance of the amplifier composed of 6AD10 is much better than that of the amplifier composed of 6BM8, ECL805, ECL82, and 6F3. It is manifested in three aspects, noise, frequency response, and power, especially power. The 6AD10 amplifier can output 3.5W, which is 6BM8. ECL805, ECL82, and 6F3 are incomparable, and the sound is better than EL84 and 6V6.
