Knowledge of proximity switch:
1. Proximity switches commonly used include inductive proximity switch, capacitive proximity switch and hall switch.
Inductance proximity switch:
1. In general industries, proximity switch refers to inductance proximity switch. Inductive proximity switch USES electromagnetic induction principle to detect objects, and only detects metal objects.
2. Different metals have different degrees of electromagnetic interference, and different metal materials have different distances to detect. Iron/steel is a magnetic metal with the longest detection distance, which can reach 100% of the standard distance, 85% of the standard distance for stainless steel, 45% for aluminum, and 40% for copper.
Capacitive proximity switch
1. Capacitive proximity switch can detect objects with static electricity, including metal, liquid, plastic, food, feed, human body, glass, wood, cloth, SLATE, etc. The more electrostatic energy the object carries, the longer the detection distance will be; otherwise, when the object is small, thin and has too little electrostatic energy, the detection distance will be shorter or even impossible to detect.
2. Use of inductive and capacitive switches:
1, inductance type and capacitor type switch output mode is the same, three-wire type has NPN normally open, NPN normally closed, PNP normally open, PNP normally closed four kinds of output mode, two-wire type has normally open, normally closed two kinds, the use voltage of the switch is generally dc 10-30v low voltage, also have special high voltage type.
2. Differences between NPN and PNP output modes: the three lines of the proximity switch are: brown line is connected to the positive pole, blue line is connected to the negative pole, and black line is output. 1, NPN normally open: when the object is not detected, the black line is suspended; when the object is detected, the black line is connected with the blue line (negative pole); when the NPN is normally closed, the situation is the opposite. The output of NPN is also often called the negative pole output. 2. PNP normally open type: when the object is not detected, the black line is suspended; when the object is detected, the black line is connected with the brown line (positive pole); when the PNP normally closed type is the opposite; the PNP output is also often called the positive pole output. Note: when the product has short circuit protection function, the black line is not completely suspended. The voltage measured by the product voltmeter may be different from the above mentioned working conditions.

4, installation mode embedded installation and non-embedded installation: embedded is the outside of the switch to do shielding processing, also known as shielding installation, induction of the magnetic field will not overflow around, the switch only detect the sensor in front of the object, and will not be detected by the sensor side of the object interference. So the sensor head can be attached to the metal and the entire switch can be embedded in the metal. Non-buried type magnetic field is larger, the outer side did not do shielding processing, also called non-shielding installation, the magnetic field will overflow to all around, the side of the sensor head object will interfere detection, so the sensor head parts cannot be close to metal installation. The detection distance of non-embedded type is generally longer than that of embedded type. Capacitive and inductance installation principles are similar.
